Uniti Wireless announces ‘Uniti 10G’. The future of Broadband has arrived!

Internet disruptor and NBN alternative, Uniti Wireless, is excited to announce the launch of 'Uniti 10G', a 10 Gigabit-capable fixed wireless broadband network in partnership with City of Campbelltown!

‘Uniti 10G' is the first of its kind in South Australia. It will connect residents and businesses throughout the Council’s suburbs, making speeds of up to 10Gbps possible. City of Campbelltown will be at the forefront of the smart city movement with speeds that significantly outperform NBN service options. Phase 1 of the Uniti 10G network will deliver coverage to 14,000 premises.

Co-Founder & CEO, Che Metcalfe said, “The Uniti 10G Network will be an enabler, that will help to foster innovation and education in a council area where access to high speed fixed broadband Internet is hugely under-serviced. We thank the City of Campbelltown for their support and applaud their leadership in being the first Uniti 10G smart city in Adelaide.”

“We are in talks with other councils across Adelaide to roll out similar projects. Uniti 10G will give customers a more reliable and superior Internet connection than NBN services at a very affordable, competitive price”, continued Mr Metcalfe.

Co-Founder & COO, Sasha Baranikov said, “From the outset, Uniti’s mission has been to enable Australian communities to reach their full potential and having a reliable, Super-Fast Internet connection is paramount to that. Alongside the Uniti 10G Network, we will roll out the fastest free public WiFi network to community spaces including: Thorndon Park Reserve, Gorge Road, Paradise, Jan Street, Newton, Campbelltown Memorial Oval, Newton Village Shopping Centre and Newton Central Shopping Centre, changing the way the community connects and does business on the go”.

CEO of City of Campbelltown, Paul Di Iulio said, “The Council heard the frustration our residents and businesses were experiencing because of limited internet access within the community. We chose to partner with Uniti Wireless to provide people with a high speed, long-term solution. Gigabit speeds will assist local businesses and potentially improve our local economy, and give residents and schools access to state-of-the-art Internet. The Public WiFi will also hugely benefit our community and visitors, allowing them to access information and services quickly and easily”.
